Hot Stamping/Heat Transfer Equipment

United Silicone offers a versatile line of standard hot stamping machines involving the three common hot stamp technologies -- vertical, peripheral and roll-on. We also specialize in designing and building custom foil stamping & heat transfer systems that are unique to your specifications.

Hot Stamping/Heat Transfer Equipment uses controlled heat, pressure, and precision timing to apply colored or metallic hot stamping foil resins or pre-printed heat transfer decals to decorate surfaces of varied shapes and materials. A heated silicone rubber or metal die containing a raised graphic image is used to press or transfer the decoration onto the surface.

Hot stamp and heat transfer decorating has many advantages over other printing processes. Please download our hot stamp and heat transfer comparison chart to review the benefits of this process

Vertical Stamping Equipment

Vertical stamping is ideal for applying decorative hot stamp foil or pre-printed heat transfers to flat or slightly crowned part surfaces, and to a maximum of 90° of the circumference of cylindrical shaped parts. These hot stamping machines are available in several tonnage ranges so that the unit can be sized for the application.

Roll On Decorating Machine

Roll On Decorating

Roll-On-The decoration of large-area part surfaces -- configured flat or with a slight contour -- is best accomplished with roll-on decorating. With this method a silicone rubber roller delivers heat and pressure through line contact with the part to apply foil or pre-printed heat transfers.

Peripheral Decorating

Peripheral decorating is mainly used for applying foils or pre-printed heat transfers to the perimeter of the part. The advantage of this process is that up to 360° of the circumference of the piece can be decorated in one machine cycle. The part shape and size as well as desired production output dictate the ideal machine for your application.

US Automation -Hot Stamp and Heat Transfer Systems

United Silicone specializes in the design and production of custom hot stamp and heat transfer decorating machines. Stamping speeds of up to 300 parts per minute can be achieved by our quality engineered, technologically advanced systems. From integrating two or more decorating processes to developing fully automated part handling and production equipment, United Silicone offers comprehensive solutions to the demands of today's fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What's The Difference Between Hot Stamping and Heat Transfer Technology?

The main difference between hot stamp and heat transfer technology is that hot stamp is ideal for single color transfers whereas heat transfer is utilized for pre-printed, multicolored transfers. The equipment used to apply heat transfers is the same as for hot stamping with the addition of precision indexers. The indexer transports the carrier under the stamping head and ensures accurate registration of the transfer image on the part being decorated.

Flat, round, convex, concave, spherical, oval, square, triangular, and even multi-faceted parts can be accommodated by specialized equipment. Highly wear- and chemical-resistant, hot stamping foils are available in numerous colors and resins to maximize image quality and durability. Custom-designed foils can be supplied to match substrate characteristics, further enhancing the versatility of this process. United Silicone builds hot stamp/heat transfer equipment for a multitude of industries including but not limited to: appliances, toys, sporting goods, personal care items, textiles, automotive, and consumer goods.
